The Blogger's Introduction
Last December 1, 2013 I got the chance to go back to Sitio Bato, Municipality of Sta. Maria, Davao Occidental for a quick visit with my mom. Its been almost 6 years before I returned and a snappy 4 decades for my mom.
Sta. Maria is located on the south of Davao City as well as Digos City. A 3-hour bus ride thru Metro Shuttle Bus or ACF Bus will take you in this place. As of the NSO Phils. data of 49,000 people, this municipality is rich of agriculture and marine resources. The main business here is Coconut Trading, however, many of the residents here have the chance to propagate Bangus (Chanos chanos) or Milkfish for commercial purposes, Corn Mills and Fishing, since the place is facing Davao Gulf.

As you reach the terminal of Sta. Maria you will see this mountain which they called "Mungkuyawa"
The residents of Sitio Bato, Barangay Mamacao in the municipality propagated
Bangus or Milkfish (Chanos chanos) in their repective pond or "punong"
though this kind of fish are "bone full" yet very delicious to eat!!!
Coconut are grown in almost areas as source of Coconut Trading
Man-made bridge (made from bamboos)
Residents from Barangay Tanglad used to go fishing.
This mangrove is alone facing Malalag Bay as well as the bay full of fish pens.
Mirror lake? No its a fishpond or locally known as "punong"
Its sad but true that some hillside areas are converted into agricultural lands : (
Well I am kilometers away from their famous Little Boracay Beach maybe I could visit that soon!!!
Well... The main reason of our visit was the Capricho family.
In this picture are Lola Panya (sitting), My Mom Ely (standing on the left),
Ms. Linda Capricho (On red shirt) and her daughter (on stripes) and Linda's niece (on blue shirt)
Visit visit pag may time! This was our motto in this visit.
Cause when will we visit our loved ones? Once they die?
